Help! How do I get e-mail from Comcast

I just purchased a Axim x5 (love it so far) and have the data cable to connect to my verizon Motorola phone. I can connect to the internet ok but I don't know how to check my e-mail through my comcast high speed internet?
When I get to the Comcast home page I get a message saying I need to upgrade my browser to IE 6.
I'm going to Hawaii on my honeymoon in a few weeks and bought these new toys to keep my business up and running.
What do I do next?

Thanks

The easiest way to do this would be to download a different web browser on your Axim. The pocket version of Internet Explorer isn't all that great and some web pages recognize the version of pocket IE as being out of date.

Using different web browsers would be the easiest way (that I know of) to fix the problem. There are a couple of choices (again, that I know of). One is FTX Browser and the other is called Thunderhawk.

I have only used Thunderhawk (it's awesome). They have a 30 day free trial and, after the free trial, the price is 50.00/year. If you wanted to try Thunderhawk with the free trial to check your Comcast email (durning your honeymoon), then hold off downloading the free trial until you are closer to the date of your honeymoon to ensure it won't expire when you need it.

I don't know anything about the FTX Browser but, if you do a search on this site on internet browsers, I'm sure you will come up with some hits with a link. The link for Thunderhawk is:

www.bitstream.com

Others here on this site may be able to link you to other alternatives (or other ways of checking your email) but, this is the only way I know of.
:)
