What kind of computer are you running and with what type of OS? You should be able to choose what can be synced with the axim from your computer. Are you syncing as a Guest or do you have a partnership set up? As a Guest, you won't have this option.
I know that all versions of activesync have the an option to choose what to sync in the Sync Options tab of Options in the A.S. desktop as long as you establish a partnership with your PDA.

i have a standard connection. can you check yours and see if you have a box to put a X in? i have them listed but there is NO box to put X in. i am using AS 3.7 on winxp
I sure do have the option to check and uncheck and I have a P4 running 1.3Ghz w/128MB RAM using WinXP Pro OS with a AS 3.7 and using Outlook 2002. I guess my next question is, what version of Outlook do you have?

Outlook came with your Axim(well should have) for free... install it from the Dell CD and you should be all set... at the end of the day once you get used to outlook you will look back at OE and think "bland"...
Express is pretty much only for email while Outlook includes the calendar and all the associated features (namely, appointments and tasks).

Yep. Basically, Outlook has everything you want to sync. the database you want to sync shares that database between your PDA and desktop. Outlook Express is just an email without any of the calender, notes, tasks, and contacts.

Thanks for your help with Outlook Express. I had the same problem as jmai22 because I didn't load Outlook from the Dell CD. I figured that Express was the same thing and was already on the computer.
