ActiveSync not sync

Having a little trouble ActiveSyncing wirelessly.. I set everything up like the article said.. and I can connect.. but it doesn't sync.. On my PPC it says "connecting" and stay like that.. on my PC it says connection too, but as GUEST and then just sits there doing nothing.. Any idea what I'd don't wrong or didn't do?

WM03
Win98se
ActiveSync 3.7
Dlink 660W

I set the AS to sync with server on both PC and PPC
I changed on PPC connect "to work"

What exactly did you put in pocket hosts? And what is the name of your PC? No, pocket hosts doesn't have to be running, but the entry does have to have the checkbox ticked.

Do you have a software firewall?

You could try to delete and recreate the partnership via USB and then try via Wifi again.

Please excuse me if this is too simplistic, but have you tried manually opening Activesync on the PPC (after placing it close enough to the PC that the PC recognizes an IR device nearby), clicking on "Tools>Connect via IR..." ?That's the only way I can start the sync process via IR with my notebook. On my desktop, with the cradle connected via USB, the connection and synchronization start automatically, but the notebook seems to require me to activate the IR connection manually on the Axim.

I am having the exact same issue. follow the instruction in the how-to, and when I click sync in AS, it just show Guest on the PC side. It seems like Pocket Host is the problem. I went into Pocket Host, remove the PC's entry, and then try syncing again, and it started to sync.
