Device not Recognised" Error Message/ActiveSync

Can someone help with advice to correct the following?

I have a Dell BT card (installed with WIDCOM drivers) in my Axim/WM2003.

I am trying to hook up with my laptop (with 3 COM BT PCMIA card) to sync.

I get the BT connection to the laptop OK (confirmed by the connection managers on both PDA & laptop), then I get an error message from the laptop saying "Device not recognised".

It appears that the ActiveSync prog. can't identify the PDA?

Any solutions?

I have no experience with BT at all I'm afraid, but have you created a partnership alreadythrough USB? Rebooted both devices? Running AS 3.7? Installed PocketHosts?

Howard, to your points.

I have previously made a partnership between the PDA & laptop to sync via USB - which is happening OK.

Do I need to recreate this partnership with the PDA over BT? If so, how do I do that?

Both units are running AS 3.7.

And, you'll have to forgive my ignorance of PocketHosts?

Your advice is welcome :)
