Axim sees router but not the Internet

My X50v says it is connected to the wireless network with a good signal. When I select Pocket IE it can not find the page. I assume that should be my IPS. I try that address, CNN.COM, Google.Com and even AximSite.com. Sometimes ATT.NET does show up, but I can not do anything on it.
I am using the AximSite PPC WiFi How To guide. I get to the Troubleshooting PPC WiFi section and it fails the second question .
“Does it get a valid IP number? In the X50/51, look at the IP Address on the Advanced page. Most home routers will assign IP’s that start 192.168. If the entry is shown as 0.0.0.0 or starts with 169, the PPC is not associating with the router.” The IP address I get assigned is 223.377.0.0. I use the same router with my laptop and have no problems. My laptop works in other “hot spots” but my X50v won’t.

Check on the IP that your laptop obtains (select Start, Run..., type in cmd and press enter, type in ipconfig/all and enter.

I'm guess it will not be a 223 number in which case you need to figure out why the Axim is not obtaining a valid IP. Often this is because of settings on the router, not the Axim.

You may need to reconfigure that connection. It should ask if if that connection connects to work or the internet. settings---> Connections ---> Network Cards ---> Network Adapters ---> My netork card connects to: Internet or work

PTL I now can get to the internet with my Axim X50v. Thanx for everyones help. I was browsing my Axim looking for the 223. IP number that I seem to be stuck on. I found a page with that number. There were two statements there. One said: Use server assigned IP. The other said: Use specific IP 223.77.0.0. Guess which one I had highlighted? Changed it to: "Use server assigned IP", turned WLAN OFF then ON and connected to CNN with PIE. Works Great. God is good and He uses great people like you to help me. Thanx - Keith
