WM6 and push email data usage question

Wireless data costs where I live is pretty expensive so I was wondering how much data would be used up if I enabled my default hotmail as push email 24/7.

dunno, but check out GPRS Monitor from SPB. It will log your data traffic.

Run it for a few days using push mail and then the other way.

Then you will know and you can tell us.

Be very careful about using that monitor. It's buggy and crashed my device causing a hard reset. Does anyone know of any better data monitoring tools?

Not long ago I fired up my RSS newsreader and grabbed about a dozen feeds not realizing the USB cable was not plugged in so ut used the GPRS connection. To read the the news it cost me $20.00!
I called my cell provider and they killed the data connection but left the voice so I will never make that mistake again. No big deal since hotspots are everywhere.

There is one neat trick for monitoring my Hotmail account I found.
It would be nice to use the push of Hotmail but that requires an expensive data connection that I killed so when I realized my provider has free incoming SMS messages I setup hot mail to text me everytime I get new mail with the subject. Now I can monitor hotmail for free.

Pretty cool I thought,
