@ABF yes Wireless adapter printer are here now. Yeah!
Huh, go figure. I never use printers any more now that I have my tablet. And if I did, I would just get a simple USB one and hook it up to my hp mediavault.
Sharing over the network is great I admit but in my case I do not have room to put it close to the laptop so having a WiFi printer will avoid having to run cables to it. :approve:

Get a print server. I have rigged up a closet in my office to house my computer equipment. In the closet is my WIFI router, two printers, a computer and my print server. The printers plug into the print server and the print server plugs into my WIFI router. None of my computers are connected directly to the printers or to the print server, so there's no shared printer. I can print from any of my computers to either of my printers via network connections. Works great and was a pretty cheap solution.

Get a wireless print server. Easy to configure, use your existing usb, parallel, or ethernet printer, costs $50-75 (US$) or so. Search on amazon.com for wireless print server.

I have two HP wireless printers. One is a simple printer - HP 5850 - I use this in my kitchen - works great. The other is an all-in-one - also works great - C7180
