Problem terminal services over wifi

I have 3 PC's in a wired network and a AP for my laptop and Axim.
All PC's and laptop run XPpro.
PC's and laptop have remote desktop enabled (seperate account
with password)
AP and PC's are connected with a switch. ADSL modem also connected to the same switch.
In this setup I can get on the internet from my Axim, I can also "take over" all PC's in my network using terminal services on the Axim EXCEPT the laptop which is on wifi.
If I try this, the connection seems OK, (black screen on the axim) but the axim seems to freeze before the logon screen appears. Sometimes the logon screen appears but as soon as I try to type the password, the axim does not respond anymore. After a while I get the message "terminal services has ended/network problem"
This is only the case if I try to take over the laptop which is on the same AP as the Axim. No problems occur if I do the same with the Axim taking over the other PC's which are on the wired part of the same network.
I have no problems connecting from the Axim to the laptop in the regular way through filesharing.
It must be some sort of conflict using terminal services in a wireless network.
Anybody got any ideas??

It shouldn't matter that the laptop is connected via wifi. This isn't too helpful, but I can connect to my WinXP Pro PC(all the PCs in my house are connected via wireless) with my Axim without any issue.

A little more info that might be helpful. I'm using a Netgear 802.11g wireless card in that PC and a Linksys WCF12 in the Axim. All of it goes through a Netgear router connected to DSL. I haven't had issues yet with remote desktop/terminal services.
