X3i Recognizes My Home Network, but Can't Always Connect

I have a wireless network in my home. My router is a D-Link 614+. I have a few different machines and all connect wirelessly pretty reliably.

I just got my X3i. The setup was a snap, and I was able to surf the net pretty quickly and easily.

My problem: sometimes the Axim doesn't connect to my network. The Dell WLAN Utility seems to be unsuccessfully scanning to find the correct channel to connect. (The State: Associating) When I select Site Survey, I can see my network (the only one in the immediate area), and the signal is strong, transmitting, etc., but it isn't "catching" my Axim and connecting.

I also get an error message: "Pocket PC Networking. Unable to obtain a server-assigned IP address. Try again later or enter an IP address in Network settings."

Suggestions? I've disabled and enabled the Wireless function of the X3i, and I've done some soft resets. Sometimes I've connected and sometimes I haven't.

Start, Settings, Connections (tab), Connections, Advanced (tab), Network Card, uncheck the "Automatically connect to non-preferred networks" and delete anything in the list other than your home network.

You might also change the settings to use a static IP. I'm not sure where that is in the X3i utility but if you want to try it and have trouble finding the setting, post back and I will try to find it.

I'll give that a try and let you know how it goes. Thanks.
