I recently read that it was actually safer to go ahead and broadcast your ssid. Hackers will see it anyway and it will peak they're curiosity more that you're trying to hide it. If you broadcast it but use WEP and MAC filtering you won't LOOK like enough of a challenge, but still be reasonably protected. It'll also be easier for the quick email grabing hit and runners to tap into your neighors un-encripted AP. Strategery......gotta love it! <grin>
