Hmm annoyed..

this is an extension of this thread: http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showt...threadid=31266

Now my problem is this. I got home from dropping my roommate off and decided I was going back to sleep. First I wanted to txt message my friend so instead of paying 0.10 I said hey, I'll do it through vtext.com and grabbed the Axim to do it quickly (or so I thought).
First of all pocketWiNc wouldn't show my network for a while. Then I finally saw it and clicked on it to connect through the bottom pane (a tip from someone in the previous thread). It says associating.. then just x's out the network saying its unavailable. (linksys is mine.. the other one is one I can see in my apartment). I tried this like 5 times and nothing. Then the x's come off and I try again but I'm just going around in circles. I closed and reopened WiNc and soft reset but nothing...
Soooo inconvenient. Like I asked in the previous thread, does anyone know if these problems are due to the fact that incompatibility issues with the Socket card and WM2003? When I first set up the Axim the CD that came with the Socket card didn't do jack.. so I had to follow the instructions by FLJeepGuy in this thread: http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showt...threadid=24234
ftp://ftp.socketcom.com/wlan/ppc2003wlan.exe
Why can't it just connect like my laptop does with no problems... :bang:

Here are some pics for you..

Do you have the trial or full version of Pocket WiNc? Has anything changed or been added to your configuration since it last functioned properly?

I'm coming in on the tail end of this, so if my questions are redundant then ignore them:

(1) Have you configured the ZWC in WM2003 with the proper site information, including the proper authentication?

I have had ZERO (0) problems with my Socket card using the native WM2003 ZWC. As a matter of fact, I believe the Socket card relies on the WM2003 ZWC software for its setup.

I usually only use PocketWinc for verification only and sometimes to refresh initial connections are always made via the native WM2003 connection software. (I have the Free PCMAG version of PocketWinc: Version 1.3 build 952)

So, just curious, what do you see in the WM2003 WiFi connection window? (Start - Settings - Wireless Ethernet)

What's ZWC? I entered the WEP key in both WiNc and wm2003 wifi connections..
The WM2003 wifi connections screen is annoying too, it will say I'm connected to something thats 40 miles away that I was never connected to..
But, it did say I was connected to my own network, but I couldn't surf.
