Worried Dell Truemobile 1180 and Win XP

Hello,

Hope someone can help, I want to use my Dell wifi card in a windows XP laptop as well using a PCMCIA converter. It needs XP drivers and from other threads I see that the card is made by

http://www.agere.com/support/

But does anyone no how they are installed, in the Zip file is a collection of dll and exe files and readme but no installation instructions?

Anyone managed to sort this out?

all the best,

mw

Unzip the contents to a folder, insert the card, point the driver wizard at the folder with the drivers in and I think it should work. Good luck

willo thanks for this, I have both an XP and win 200 laptop and was trying to install on the win200 now I think about it. I did point the wizard at the unzipped folder but it didnt want to know.

I will try with the XP wizard.

Are you using the 'Drivers for Drivers for Windows 98, ME, 2000, and XP' from http://www.agere.com/support/drivers/? I think they are the ones you need. maybe I should try it on my own laptop.
