MPx200 as GPRS modem for X5 WM2003

Just want to let everyone that has an MPx200 know that its possible to use it as an IRDA GPRS modem for the X5 with WM2003 installed. I've been trying off and on to get it to work, but everything seems a bit hit and miss as to whether it will connect or not. I just received a copy of the latest version of connect2internet PRO from 2kdevelopment and it seems to sort out all the bugs.
The MPx200 isn't listed as one of the supported phone types, but it seems to work just fine using the Orange SPV setup. I've only been able to test it with my home operator (Orange UK) but there seems to be settings for most operators worldwide. Only internet connectivity works though, not any of the fancy SMS, contact and phone dialer functions.

Thanks for the info! I have been trying to setup my PPC and Smartphone for connection via IR for ages, and have always ran into problems.

The E800 is not listed as a supported PDA but if it isn't too dissimilar to the E750 then you shouldn't have a problem. The SC100 is listed as a supported phone.

I am also getting a MPx200 in a couple days (I had one, sold it, and am getting another for my wife to use). Do you know if version 2.5 will also work? It costs $15 less, so if it does I would get that instead. I will see if the E800 works, lets hope so.

I've had a look on handango for the non pro version which was recommended to me by a guy at 2kdevelopment as it doesn't include the SMS and dialer functions. It seems to list it as version 2.5 in one place and 2.6 in another. I'd say it should probably do the same job for you. If it doesn't let me know and I'll send you the email address of my contact who should be able to sort you out, he sent me a link to download the full 2.6 version even though I hadn't bought it yet.

Hi, I am a X50v and mpx200 user.

I would like to try that version myself. Is it late to ask for help ?

I never got it working, and don't know anyone else who claimed to other than Shuflie. I now have a bluetooth Smartphone, the Audiovox SMT5600, and it is a piece of cake to setup a connection through.
