Cannot get PIE to work over wireless network

I've recently installed a wireless network in my house. The connection to my laptop and desktop work perfectly, but I haven't had any success with my X5 and my linksys wcf12. I've followed lots of directions, and downloaded lots of extras, but can't seem to get it to work. I've got what appears to be a good signal, i'm using WEP, and using vxUtil, I can see the wireless network, but anytime i try to look up a site in PIE, I get a message along the lines of cannot find the ip address. This makes me wonder that I need a DNS number or I need to set the card to automatically look for the DNS number or something like DCHP. However I cannot figure out how to do it, so if anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

Have you checked Ikehiker's FAQs and How-To Guides?
http://wifi.aximsite.com/wifi_net.html
They're a great place to start (and often end, since they solve a TON of questions).

You can find out if it's a DNS issue by trying to connect to an IP number such as Google at http://216.239.39.99/

Typically the router's IP is assigned as the DNS but this may not work for everyone. You can try adding the DNS IPs from your ISP in the WiFi adapter settings (Start, Settings, Connections (tab), Connections, Advanced (tab), Network Card, Network Adapters (tab). Select your linksys from the adapter list and add the IP numbers on the Name Servers page. I've had problems in the past getting the numbers to 'stick' and had to actually enter a Static IP number (on the IP Address page, check the dot "Use specific IP address"). This shouldn't make any difference if you plan to mostly use the Axim on your home network but could be an issue if you want to use it on other networks.

There may be some more details you'll find useful in the WiFi How-to linked from my signature.

Yes I've looked through the FAQ's and such and can't seem to find anything relevant. Lots of help pages etc. state that things work pretty much once you place the card in the axim....it is supposed to just work, well mine hasn't and I can't get it to work....its like the connection just isn't there and I'm missing one little toggle or switch or something, but I can't figure out what it is...
