I finally got the beta driver from SMC for WM 2003. You have to leave the original driver on and just install the update over top of the other driver. I tried other drivers but never got consistent results. Finally, I'm wireless. I can't complain really. I bought the card for $25 on College St. It's rated as a rather good wireless card. I notice that the correct drivers really make a difference to performance. Feel free to email me and I'll send you the file. It's small anyhow.

Sure, let me know if your account has enough space. Hotmail still is at 2mbs. They did announce new space increases to 250 mbs for free accounts later in the summer. Let me know.

Ok, I tried uploading the file, but I would have to split it into 6 parts to post it!!! UGG. So, here's the deal. I've got a yahoo briefcase account, and have the beta file bundled with the normal driver in a rar file. The deal is that you have to install the main driver first. The file's called SMC2642W.exe. Install that puppy, soft reset, and then install that other file that's zipped inside the archive and goes by the name setup.exe, the zip file makes it clear that it's the beta file. You probably can't access this file directly. What you need to do is send me your yahoo id and I'll make sure you can get in. If you don't have a yahoo id, it's free, and yahoo rocks. You get a free 30 mb briefcase to store files, and 100 mb mail account for free these days.
