Seen this sniffer?

If you try it, post what card you got it to work with.

I just gave it a shot with my Linksys WCF12 and it worked fine. It picked up my network as well as my next door neighbors. I had been wondering whether my neighbor had bothered to secure his network so it was interesting to see this app reported he has.

Another great program to have in your network toolkit is vxUtil -- a sweet suite of apps including Ping, Trace Route, Port Scan, etc.

Has anyone tested this software with the Netgear MA701 CF card yet? I will download it tonight and will try it out.

how'd the netgear MA701 work?
Just got my Axim, just got my Netgear Wifi card, waiting for my acces point to turn up tomorrow...so I'm wondering whether the sniffer work with the netgear card?
There again here in the UK Wifi is still pretty low key - but its always interesting to have a sniff around

Nice find! Works well with Linsys WCF12. Much nicer than pocketwarrior! :)

I'm getting: "the current adapter has been removed. This application will be closed."
I'm using Dell's True Mobile CF card.

It doesn;t work with my Pretec card... replies that it can't find a card and shuts the program down.

If you are using the MA701, you need the Intersil Reference Driver. I us it, and it works like a charm.
However, WinC is notably slower than pocketwarrior. BUT, pocketwarrior doesn't get you on the network, it just tells you it's there.
With a tap, WinC will get you an IP and on the internet. :D

How did you get the card to start using the intersil drivers? I downloaded and installed them to test my Ambicom card, but it still shows as using ndis.dll, not the .dll from the Intersil Reference Driver.

My Pretec should be a Prisme 2.5 chipset too but mine doesn't work out-of-the-box with the intersil drivers..
I tried installing the intersil over the pretec drivers and a clean install.. neither worked :(
