Bluetooth
Has anyone been using bluetooth with the Axim. If yes, how well does it work and are there any problems with accessing a phone?

I'm getting a Bluetooth TrueMobile 300 card as well as a Sony T68i so that I can use the phone as a mobile internet connection. For this purpose (as I need to check prices for various things while I'm on the go) it should work just fine - but for accessing files over a network, you're much better off going with WiFi (Dell has a TrueMobile version of a WiFi CF card).
What are you looking at doing?

Bluetooth CF?
Hi folks, I'm currently trying to get a Blue Monkey bluetooth CF card to work in my Dell to link with a Nokia 6310i on Orange network. The machines recognise each other, but I haven't figured out how to access the internet yet, so any help appreciated. The CF card came with an adaptor for use in a laptop, so I'm hoping to be able to link up the laptop to the phone too. In the long term I'd like wireless for the Dell when at home, any UK suppliers of a wifi card? I haven't seen one on the Dell site, although I've heard they make one.

bluetooth.
I purchased a bluetooth card for my dell and one for my computer. I am awaiting the one for the computer.
I also have the nolia 6310i that is bluetooth enabled. I have not tried to see if I can connect to the net from the phone via the bluetooth yet.
I thought I woudl impose upon those more ecxperienced than I to learn the problems and solutions.
thanks

No Bluetooth Problems Here
I am presently using an Ericsson T68m (upgraded to T68i) along with an Ambicom BT2000 compact flash bluetooth card. I had some connection problems at first, but I downloaded updated drivers from the Ambicom website. I use T-Mobile for my service and have great internet connections. If needed, I will post how my connection is setup. It took some time...but I got it right about the 20th time :rolling:

Now - I'm going to be using the Dell TrueMobile 300, but I'm interested in knowing how you actually set up the Axim to interface with the T68i? I want to have as few problems as possible when I get the whole package :)
Thanks!!
Nick

Here is where I got the info. that helped my out. I can also connect via infrared using this method I prefer the bluetooth for obvious reasons. Make sure that you set your phone up as being "trusted" by the bluetooth software on your Axim. The t68 will pair with it without any problems. The two problems that I had were - The setup string from the website where I got this info had to be changed (see my screenshot), and I kept setting the select modem to connect, as "Ambicom bt2000" (which is my card model). When I changed it to "Ambicom Bluetooth Modem", and all connected well. Hope this helps. If not, I have screenshots of my exact settings using Ambicom Bluetooth card and T-Mobile service, and I will post them.

My Bluetooth Settings for Samkataa etc.
Here are the setting that I use for my Axim-Ericsson T68-Ambicom Bluetooth Compact Card. Check out the site that I listed also if this does'nt help. Make sure that you have the newest drivers for your card, as the drivers that came with my card did not work with my Axim.

My Bluetooth Settings for Samkataa etc.
Samkataa - I read your post regarding using your phone to dial up your ISP. To do this, I believe that you will need the right dial up numbers as well as the specific ip address, and maybe the dns settings, (to be used in the advance settings) of the new connections menu. A friend of mine uses this setup with the same phone as mine. I will contact him to see exactly what settings that he uses.
