Hmm Dlink DCF-660W "unrecognised Card"

I got my wireless 660 CF adapter last night so my new PDA could participate on my wireless network. I can't seem to get active sync to recognise the "package" type driver for the 660 adapter. I'm a Systems Analyst by trade and very technical, so this is very perplexing to me. If i run the installer, per the instructions, it all follows according to plan. Until the package is supposed to be listed in active sync..... Active sync launches as part of the installation but no software is actually transfered to the PDA. [btw.. I did not have any problems getting my Dell Keyboard installed.] It can not be a problem with the cf card (at this point) as that would not prohibit the driver package from being installed. My Axim is new and my active sync version is 3.5. Has anyone seen this or had problems getting packages to install???

Maybe an upgrade to Asynch 3.6 will solve your probs.

I have the same problem with my dcf-660w card. No matter what i do, i get the message " Unknown card in socket 1"
If anyone have any suggestions to what i need to do to get the card working.......

I use activesync 3.6, and i have downloaded the latest driver from d-link, but still it will not work. i have done a complete reset of my Axim, reinstalled all the software, but......

I have a gps, which i use in the memory slot. This works fine, so it can't be the memory slot that is damaged.

I have tried two different 660w cards, so i think the card is working. but i get the same error message.

I am pretty desperate her, so any help would be appreciated
