Cool Installing d-link dcf-660w

UPS just delivered my d-link dcf-660. I see LOTS of issues with drivers, setup, WEP, Channels ect. being discussed with this card on these boards. I have a d-link 713 wireless router up and running (for 6 months on my already existing wireless network - love it). How do people live with Dial-up! Anyway, before a cause myself lets of headaches, what steps should be taken to install this in the axim and get it on my network? It sounds like I should not even use the CD which came with this card and instead download the latest drivers from d-link. It sounds like if I install the software on the cd and get the Axim up and running, that installing new drivers later is then a mess trying to get the old drivers off the Axim. For those of you with this card, what are the steps I should follow for this card right out-of-the box? Thanks.

1. search this forum until you find the link for the latest (january 2003) driver.

2. turn off axim.

3. install driver software on the PC

4. turn on axim without card installed, and then synch axim

5. stick card in.

6. no issues and everything works perfect
