Hmm Zone Alarm?

Is it possible that Zone Alarm is preventing me from connecting to the internet on my Axim, as I have Zone Alarm Firewall set to stealth mode?

You will have to input the IP address of your Axim in the firewall settings to allow it to connect. If using a router, you will have to set this up also.

It is entirely possible and likely that this is happening. I have the same problem and have just worked around it for now by disabling zone Alarm before I plug in my X30. After it it detected and completes the first sync, I restart Zone Alarm and all is well. Future sync's occur with no problem.

I will have to sit down on the weekend and do as suggested by adding the IP address of the X30 to the Zone Alarm setup.

Open ZA > Go to 'Alerts and Logs' > Set 'Alerts Shown' to High > Connect your Axim > In ZA Pop-Up, Select Allow/Remember to anything that comes up for your Axim or ASync.

You can now reset ZA Alerts to Medium and you should have no problems.

On your Router it is MAC Filtering and/or WEP Encryption. It will depend on your Brand and Model of Router.
