Wireless connection at office

I have an Axim 400 with the Dell Wireless CF card. I think i've configured everything ok. I have no problem getting on line at home via my wireless router, nor do I have trouble getting or sending emails at home using my Axim.

When I get to the office, I can connect via their wireless system to the company intranet, but can't get past it to the world wide web. It tells me that the page I'm trying to access is unavailable.

Is that a problem with my Axim my settings, or is it a function of the office network that blocks Internet access? (Have no problem getting out on my office PC).

I also can get to their system from my home PC using microsoft exchange to check email, but for some reason it won't get past their log-in page when I use my Axim.

Any suggestions? Is there something I need to do different in my Axim settings? Presently have all three settings set to "work".
Thanks.

Proxy?

You might want to check your Internet setting on IE on your work desktop machine. Look for for Proxy settings - ensure they are set the same on the Axim. MAy solve your Internet browsing problem.

I'd don't have any advice for the exchange login. I do it all the time from my Axim over my home wireless, across the Internet, to the work Exchange Server. Again you may have a proxy incorrectly set up.

No proxy

Seems that the office doesn't use proxy, but just uses a "regular" connection??? DHP or something like that? Getting info from the IT guys is like pulling teeth.

Have tried resetting all "connections" to no avail.
Just can't figure out why it works at home on wireless, but not on the wireless at the office!
Frustrating.

Wireless connection at the office?

Sounds like they're running DHCP to connect users but are not 'broadcasting' therefore you cannot get out onto the web with your Ax. Suggest talking to Administrator - maybe they're logging MAC addresses and need to register yours before giving acccess?
