Bluetooth and Cable Modem

I want my laptops network (and internet) connect to get shared to my PDA over bluetooth. On the PDA im able toselect Connect to Network Access (from the BT menu) and it shows that it connected but when I got to try to use the internet it doesn't work.

Do I need to enable "Share your internet connection" on the laptop? I was
going to try that but it keeps telling me it is going to set its IP to
192.168.0.1 which is the IP address of my Router... anyway around that (if
this step is needed).

Thanks again.

I have a similar issue. New BT CF adapter (Belkin) in the ole Axim (400MHz, PPC2002) and BT USB Adapter (Belkin F8T001) attached to my Dell PC. I can get them to Active Sync but I am clueless as to how I can go to webpages wirelessly.

The PC is attached to the Internet via a cable modem. When I try to confiogure the connection I only see configurations that go through dial and FAX modem. I suppose I have to go through the advanced settings but as I said I am cluelss without a little guidance.

Thanks in advance!
Paul

Paul again.

Could the difficulty lie in the Belkin BT devices. Has anyone had any experience with the Belkin BT CF adapter and their Axim? If so I would like to hear about it. Would I be better off with the Dell BT CF adapter offering?

Thanks again!

i would call belkin tech support, and ask them how you get it to work. especially since you bought 2 belkin products... they cant blame it on a diff. company

well, it can be quite tricky to setup a bluetooth connection to your pda from a comp. if you are behind a router and you dont want to upset the rest of the comps on your network.... (with share your connection)
