cant get bluetooth to work

I have a sony ericsson 710 unlocked from cingular but I am using T-mobile USA Network. When I try to connect it to the Network log on screen, it dials out *99# on the PDA but not on my phone and then it gives me a message stating:Cannot connect for unkown reason. To check your connection settings and change them if needed, tap settings .

Am I missing a step here? Please help!
Thanks

Have you put in your extra dial string commands?

Hi,
I could use my x51v with Ericsson T39(via bluetooth), I got connected without any problems. I am in China, the operator is China Mobile, Proxy Server is cmnet.
(The CID of my T39 is 3, so the dial number is *99***3#)

However, when I tried to use my x51v with Motorola A1000, I am not able to get connected. (I could not find with is the CID of my Motorola A1000, and I tried the CID number from 1 to 15, but all failed).

When I was in Hong Kong, I used my x51v with Mototola A1000, I got connected without any problems. (I am using 3, the dail number is *99#)

Could anyone holp me.

Thanks a lot.

Bell Moto Razr and Axim x51v

Hey All,

Trying to get DUN working on my RAZR from Bell. Full OBEX support and DUN working fine via Bluetooth on desktop, but when I pair the device with my Axim, no services are listed. Is there more advance Bluetooth software for the axim which may enable this support or is it that OPP is disabled or not available on the hone for some reason (is it even needed for a DUN to a PDA?)

axim x51v, SE Z600 phone. I've tried all the suggestions so far, but I always get "Bluetooth Connection lost" message appearing on the phone, shortly after it seems to connect OK. GPRS works fine via IR. Anyone got it to work on a SE Z600 ?

can anyone recommend a GSM/GPRS cellular modem

for my X50?
I need it to dial up using my SIM card, instead of using my BT-enabled cellular phone.
It would be helpful if the card were very fast (the phone connects very slowly).
Is there any such modem that connects via the bottom connector, not the CF or SD slot?
Thanks.

Hi I'm new, this is a great site, I think it's awesome and a big help for me. I have a guestion concerning accessing my email through the GPS. I thought I read something about this last year, but I forgot where it was that I read it. Is this technology out there, to be able to access email and the internet through GPS? Looking forward to your answers and Thanking you in advance for your help and answers.

I have a 51V and a Blackberry. They "see" each other, but i cannot seem to get the modem setup. Bluetooth dialup isn't one of my choices on the 51v Connection screen, I can only choose HAYES COMPATIBLE on COM1, Generic IrDA or BLUETOOTH. (no bluetooth dialup, so i cannot put in the other string information). Any ideas??

X50v
Samsung D900
Vodafone

GPRS No: *99#
User name: Web
Password: web
Domain: blank
Baud Rate: 57600
Wait for dial tone: ticked
No extra dial-string
All other setting default

This didn't seem to work to start with but after deleting my connection and deleting my pairing and then creating a new connection followed by pairing it is now OK.

I also have a Sony Ericsson V600i and the only difference with the above settings is a Z in the dial string.

I don't use Cingular unfortunately. I have Sprint. I use the LG PM325 and it works great. It was only 40 bucks. Maybe less I can't remember because I got a deal with a rebate. Never have had a problem with it. Don't know about Cingular but talk on the Sprint Users website is that Sprint watches who uses the phone as a modem and if it gets excessive, they cut you off. Personally, I use it to check email when wifi isn't available which isn't very often. I also, use it on vaca for two weeks to check email everyday and Sprint has never cut me off. :approve:
