Exchange 2003 Server sync and desktop sync with another computer
I searched and did not find someone with the configuration I am looking for.
I have Exchange 2003 at my work with remote active sync enabled. I would like to create two partnerships that meet the following requirements.
1) The first will be with my computer at home to be able to download files and install programs.
2) The second partnership would enable me to sync with my work computer via the cradle when I am in the office. It would do a server sync to get my email such that I can get this when it is cradled as well as via wifi if I am out of the office.
The problem I am running into is that my work network does not have dhcp so that when I set the server settings in active sync using a named server it recognizes the server when out of the office but, not in the office. I created a hosts file on my PPC such that it works in the office but, my solution will now require me to uncheck the hosts file when I get out of the office. Is there another way?
