Help with MA-701 And AOL connection

I have the axim5 400, Netgear MA-701 and Linksys wireless router I am unable to connect. I have Time Warner Cable modem and am using AOL as the service. I set up all as explained in the booklets Netgear tech service had me run a number of checks and says the 701 is ok, Linksys says the router is ok Now what? Anyone had similar problems?

Are you able to go online on your PC without having to use the AOL software? I know this is the case for AOL/DSL and a lot of people going wireless needed to get NON AOL Broadband.

no, I have to sign on thru AOL to get on the internet

I guess your only choice would be switching over to non AOL broadband connection.

why is that? Is there a way to force the IP, I guess?

I have no trouble with aol 8.0 and using the hotsink cradle and active sync so why can't i use the netgear ma 701 card with the linksys router? Anyone have any ideas??? The tech help? at aol don't understand how I have been able to go on the net at all with a PPC device.

Go to AOL Keyword "Beta". AOL is beta testing for PPC 2002.

Well I solved the problem, I switched from AOL to RoadRunner. Instant hook up and all works well. Haven't found any axim screen friendly sites yet and so much to learn but what fun, now that it works. Aol beta was not worth it and the don't seem to have a clue.
