Disable that popup thing in 2003

Im beginning to find the WM2003 built in WIFI manager thing annoying.. Is there a way to disable that popup window that says something along the lines of "new network detected, (network name), this connection connects me to, (Internet or Work).

I found a program to do it many months ago for my x30, but I've never been able to find it again. So a program does exist to make it stop, I'm jsut not sure where it is, or what it's called.

I found a program called wififofum PRO that's supposed to stop the popup. I don't get a good feeling about trying this program.

My problem is that popup comes up while I'm already connected to my home wifi network. Next time it pops up, I may just toss the X50v into the fishtank........

YES! thats the application I had. I knew I found it when I was actually looking at some other app, but could never find it again. Thanks a lot.

It's working for me. I installed it as soon as awdark posted the info about it. I no longer get the "connect to network" bubble when I enable my wireless. You have to do a soft reset after running the application and telling it to disable the autoconnect. The "Poke me up the bum" message it displays is kind of cryptic.

O soft reset...
Didn't try that. I had assumed it was hating my card or X5 for being obsolete

>_< Okay, WZC disable REALLY disables things. PocketWinC even stopped running haha. I think I will hope for a registry hack or someting to just stop the popups but not kill the functions of the crummy utility.

Here's how you get rid of the popup without having to install a single thing:

Go to Start/Settings/Sounds & Notifications
Click on the Notifications tab
Click on the Event listbox and select Connection Established
Uncheck "Display message on screen"

That's it. That's all you need.
