I had a problem getting my wireless card to work on my X5 (card is a 802.11b linksys) and I followed a step by step posted here (I downloaded the WLAN-WINCE-40.zip and was able to connect, however when I disconnect the USB and ActiveSync goes off I can't connect anymore. Is there anything that I'm doing wrong?
Help please!!

If I understand your post correctly, you are saying you only have internet access when the Axim is connected via the USB cradle/cable. If that's the case, then your wireless is probably not working at all (the PPC is probably just using your PC's connection with the pass through feature).

I'm not sure if the WiFi Guide (linked from my signature) is the procedure you followed but, if not, you should look at it for possible solutions.

Got it to work, After spending hours on it lol I downloaded the CE 3.0 or 300 driver and worked right after I installed it.

I was also having problem with my GPS, but all I had to do is use port 5.

This os great, I love the PDA, so much to learn, so much to download......

Man I wish I had bought this along time ago
