Surfing Errors

I'm using my x50v at a hotel and cannot connect to certain site like www.mapquest.com or www.fedex.com I get an error saying 'The page you are looking for cannot be found' Can someone please help me solve this. I do not have access to another computer to see if those sites are working. I was trying for the last 5 hours, same error.
Thanks

This was strange problem. When the problem started, I was in Simi Valley Holiday Inn (free wi-fi). I was not connecting to SOME sites when I did the original post, after I did a hard reset to see if it would solve my problems. After the hard reset I could not connect to any website even thought the connection was good (the page you are looking for cannot be found) Now I'm back in Toronto and put on the AXIM, it picks up my router wirelessly and I can surf the same pages that I couldn't before. Can anyone tell me how to avoid this, if they can because I will be heading back to California next week and I want to be able to use the axim without any problems.

Thanks.

i'm getting the exact same error message.

at the university i go to, we have hotspots with free wi-fi, and connected just fine. i was able to view my univ's web-site, check my e-mails, and all of a sudden :exc: The page you are looking for cannot be found!

today i turned on my wi-fi while at the bus stop, and tried to see if i'd get anything... sure enough, i did. but that damn :exc: message appeared appeared again.

i have no idea what the problem is.

Maybe try using a different browser? I'm using Netfront and it's great, though there's no telling if that will solve your problem.

strange..now i'm having the same problem...i can connect to a hotspot infront oy my work prefectly. I used to be able to do the same at my campus. However, like a week back, i get a strong connection but i can't surf. Its been happening at other free hotspots too. Power managaement has been disable also. I wonder if it has to do with a config setting on my axim. Its just weird that all of a sudden i can't connect to free hot spots with excellent signals. A soft reset didn't help either, it looks as though a hard reset my be in line, if i can't solve the problem that is. Any input appreciated. Thanks
