XP SP2 Bluetooth not working...please help

I'm running Windows XP Service Pack 2 and a Belkin USB Bluetooth adapter. I can see my Axim when Bluetooth is turned on and my Axim can see the laptop, but I cannot connect. I don't see anywhere on the XP machine where I go to set up services (File Transfer, Activesync, etc.). Does anyone anyone have any idea where to start? This is so frustrating and irritating. I know the Bluetooth on the Axim works OK because I connected to a friend's Axim and exchanged files. The only thing I can think of is that maybe its the Windows drivers.

I contacted Belkin's tech support and they said that SP2 takes over the Bluetooth device, indicating that I could just use the included drivers in XP (and Microsoft's support site says my Belkin adapter drivers are already installed). What do I do?

If Belkin realizes what is wrong, they should also have a fix for you. I have a dlink adapter and there are instructions on their website for a workaround. If you cannot get any help from Belkin, you can try these instructions from Dlink:

Gigi, thanks, :approve: I had the same problem just last night.

I have the Widcomm drivers. Anybody know if the Widcomm drivers or the SP2 drivers are better?

I had the same problem with my d-link bluetooth adapter, but at least they had a good explanation on how to fix it. I bet this would work for you (just replace your devices driver/device in place of d-link)
