I go to connections -> set up proxy server -> follow the directions and check only "this network connects to the Internet" and then "ok" it. I go back and the box is still left unchecked!! :hide: I have tried resetting it numerous times. I have no idea what to do now and I plead desperately for your Thanks! :)

I did a hard reset and was having the same problem. I did a search and found a thread that tells how to get around that...it all has to do with the order in which you set things up (figures %&#$&* M$!!) Go to the following thread and follow the directions that Ikehiker gives in the 10th post in the thread:

I recently had the same problem with a friend's iPaq and I think I actually had to select "My Work Network" from the dropdown lists before checking the box. Do you remember which order you had to use? Was it the way I described in the thread you pointed to or do you need the work settings, first?
