Actually, it's not buried at all. There is a link from the front page under Quick Links. ;)

Does anybody have a link to a simular sort of thing but for XP with SP2 as NONE of my SP2 machine's have "My bluetooth places". All I want to do is to access the internet via bluetooth WITHOUT using active sync as active sync only allows 1 connection at a time. I can access the internet via bluetooth using activesync but thats no good when another machine is in the Dock and synced and I just want to quickly check something on then net with going downstairs and removing the one from in the dock.

I have been trying to get my X50V to connect with Bluetooth enabled phone Motorola V710. I have been told that my service provider is not 1X, so until they are upgraded I can't use my phone to connect my PDA to the internet. I don't know what I am doing, but all of the tech supports I've contacted aren't much help either. Is there any way I can access the internet when traveling?

At home I can connect just by hitting the button on my Axim X30 and it surfs fairly well (although I have yet to find a browser that fits the screen in landscape nicely).

Q #1: Anyway, I am connected but how do I tell what process I am using to connect? I have these in my "connections" settings:

AvantGo Connect (works fine)
Beam (never had a chance to use it yet)
BlueTooth
Connections
Dell Wlan Utility
Network Cards
OdtsseybClient

Q #2 : I connect at home fine but what icon should I try to work a hotspot? I have yet to find a place (even around Ground Zero) where I can find a "hotspot". Should I try one of the connections above v. just hitting that little tab button lower right on my Axim X30?

Thanks!

Postscript: Would www.socketcom.com utility " WiFi Companion" be of any help to me? I got the free trial download from www.handago.com but have yet to wade through all the technical instructions to figure it out before I buy. Good thing they gave me a 2 week free trial, I'll need the time to figure it out!

I kept hearing about these mythical Widcomm drivers. I did a google search and found this document, and viola!, I'm now using them. They're on your machine if you have Windows XP (I have SP2 installed) so you just need to switch to them.

Attached is the Widcomm document that explains how to switch to their drivers from the standard Microsoft ones. The Widcomm drivers give you a lot more functionality.

Oops, I just noticed that Aximsite won't let me attach it; it's too big. Do a google search for: Switching_from_MS_Driver_to_WIDCOMM.pdf

Bluetooth querry ...

Is there a way to make my AXIM X3 Bluetooth capable. I was able to make it Wifi capable by adding an SDIO Wireless LAN card. Is there such a way, adding a card, to make the same device able to utilize Bluetooth technology? Thank you for any information you may be able to offer in my quest.

ok great bt guide for wm3 but I am seeing alot of posts requesting help on pocket pc 2005 and bt, the screenshoots for wm3 look great and seem to be alot less confusing then wm5. Currently I cannot get my blue tooth gps to talk reliably with my axim x51v. The lack of feedback the tool gives is horrible and there is no longer a "connect" button it just supposed to happen I quess and there is no feedback on what is going wrong.

I have been unable to sync my x50v via my Wifi connection. I'd like to know if it's possible to sync my axim via a bluetooth connection with my Win XP (SP2) PC? BTW I'm still using WM2003SE. BTW I'm posting wirelessly with my bt keyboard and mouse (I'm considering shelving my laptop purchase) :-)

I don't mind change as long as I'm not around when it happens.

Hi everyone,

I'm a new Axim owner. Just got it before Christmas. I have a question. Anyone knows if it is possible to dial from the X51v to sony ericsson phone via bluetooth? I'm currently using Pocket Informant, but when I try to dial from the Axim, i only hear the dial tone from the Axim, it won't dial via bluetooth.

Also, is it possible to send sms with Pocket Informant? I see the option there when I tap and hold on the contact, but when i tap on it, nothing happens.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I would like to add a Bluetooth USB to my PC and access the internet on my Axim 51 via this PC.
