Hey All,

I was looking for a software AP for my laptop so I could connect my X50v to the internet while I was away from home and using dialup. Anyway I found this really nice software called:

Control AP: http://controlap.com

Anyway they have versions for every platform, including PocketPC. Apparently you can use your PDA as an Access Point if you connect through you mobile phone.

I have not tried it yet but I thought you might be interested.

Yeah I hope so... I have a bad feeling that the small print says it is a 30 day trial... but I think that may only be the management software... not 100% sure...

Find out in 30 days I guess :)

After 30 days you can only have 2 simulktaneous users instead of 6 :D

Cool, seems like a winner then :)

I can sort of get it to work, but it takes FOREVER to get to a site, ie. 5 minutes to load google page. It would appear that it is also only HTTP traffic.

How you going with this ?
