Connected to WiFi but no internet!!!
I am trying to get my x50 to work on my company network, I have gotten it to recognize the netowrk and it is sending and recieving packets. The problem is that every time I try and use the internet explorer it says I need to enter a proxy address. When I click the box that says "This netowk connects to the Internet" in my work netowk settings this goes away, but every time i try and do anything on the internet it says "The page you are looking for cannot be found" These are common pages like Yahoo and Google.
Any Ideas?
Also, when I get this working will I be able to retrieve e-mail off of my Microsoft Exchange server?

When you are at the page that has "This network connects to the internet, below that you should have a box that says " This network uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet". You should be able to put a check mark in that box, and then fill in your company's proxy server, and under advanced you can add other info as your company requires.
As for your E-mail, I am guess that if you know your e-mail exchange server name, you should be able to set it up to get your e-mail, unless your company only allows set (static) ip's into the exchange server.

On the other hand, if your company does not have a proxy server, check the top box (This network connects to the Internet) but leave everything else on this page blank. On the General tab, the name should be "My Work Network." OK and then select the Advanced (tab), Select Networks and select "My Work Network" from both of the pull down lists.

Ill Named Wifi Setup
I agree with the advice given above.
For some strange reason, Dell setup the 'Work' connection to be used as WIFI and the 'My Internet' connection to be used as a 'dial up' network.
I asked several question when I changed from my X5 w/CF WiFi Card to the X50V. It's so sweet!!!!! Today a techie-coworker showed me his PSP, but he was totally impressed when I pulled out my X50V. The clarity of the video knocked him off his feet when I turned on the VGA and played a video from HIS SD card. He's going to junk (sell) his IPAQ (w/bio-reader password) and get an X50V!!!! RECRUIT & RETAIN.
Good Luck,

Still not working
I got my e-mail to work, and I added in my company's proxy sever. but every site I try and connect to gets redirected to the Sun Microsystems website. Without the proxy I can't connect to anything. Is this an issue with the proxy server, or something I need to change on the Axim?
Also, can I sync incoming e-mails any quicker than every 5 minutes?

Once you are at the Sun Microsystems website, can you then enter another URL, such as www.yahoo.com and go there? It may be the way the company has the proxy setup to force the connection to that web page upon connection.
As for the sync, not that I know of, that is the sync's lowest setting.

I manually typed in a couple of websites, and it keeps showing up as Sun Webserver, even though the address in the bar is the one I typed in. I think it might be the proxy server.

Do you have a desktop at work? If so look at the proxy settings on it, and duplicate them on your Axim.
It does sound like a proxy problem.

I tried that, I use a laptop and the only place I could find anything was under Internet Options ---> Connections ---> LAN settings. The second box is checked and an address is filled in below (different form the one the IT guy gave me when I asked him. And the box for proxy server is NOT checked.
Is there somewhere else where I could find the porxy server address?

Are you talking about the box that says" Use Automatic Configuration Script"
or the box under Use Proxy?

At this point, I would talk to my IT guy and tell him what I am trying to do. Mention the difference in the info he gave you and what is on your desktop.
Without knowing what his setup is, or what kind of scripts he is calling for a logon it will be hard to help.
Sorry,
