I've searched this site and have not found an answer. I am wondering if it is possible to access the removable media drives, e.g. CD, DVD from the PPC? I can see all the hard drives that are shared. But, even though we have the removable media drives shared on the network, they do not show up on the X50v in Resco Explorer or GSFinder+. I have Mp3's, AVI's and Mpg's stored on CD-R and it would be nice to stream them without having to copy the files to the hard drive first.

I should have explained it better. I am not trying to hook up a drive to the Axim. I am trying to access a shared CD drive on a wireless network. I can see all the shared hard drives on the PC with Resco Explorer on the Axim, but not the CD drive.

Does anyone know how I can view my cd and dvd drives on my PC with my X50v via a wireless connection? The hard drives appear in Resco Explorer or GSFinder+ but the removeable media drives do not.

I know that you can access share noetwork but the PC CDROM, I haven't heard about this yet. Maybe other member woudl know. You will definitely need a third party software for this but what?
