Configure Proxy settings over wifi?

Ok, I am stumped. I have satellite internet, with a wifi router setup. I can access most sites without a proxy server, but some sites require a proxy. I can also browse much faster on my PC with a proxy setup. The problem I have is setting up a proxy on my X50v. My network card connects directly to the internet. I just can't seem to find a way to enter a proxy, and have it connect to the internet.

I have gon through just about every option in Connections. I tried setting my wifi to Work instead of Internet, and setting up a proxy in My Work Settings, and it won't connect at all. Any help anyone? Thanks.

Sorry if that was kind of incoherant. I was on my X50v at the time. So nobody knows how I can setup a Proxy connection with my X50v and have the network connect to Internet?

I've never set up a proxy, but don't you just fill the server name in the Connections, Set up my proxy server? I understand you should use "The Internet" as the choice for the connection (rather than My Work Network").

Yeah, but which connection do I setup my proxy in? I have My ISP, My Work, and Bluetooth settings. Obviously, I don't setup the proxy under bluetooth. That is for connecting with my cell. My ISP doesn't have an option for a proxy. When I setup a proxy in My Work, and set the network connection to work instead of internet, I get an error when I try to browse saying I need to setup a proxy server with a link to the connections. When I tap the link, I am right back where I started in the connections menu. I can get to most sites without the proxy, but some sites like Brighthand and PDAPhoneHome won't load at all.
