Billionton Bluetooth CF card and AXIM fix.

Billionton WIDCOMM and the AXIM

Download and make sure you install the right the driver below (look at the p/n on the back of the card)..

Link to the driver for the CFBT02-B. version

Link to the driver for the CFBT02-N. version

Steps in installation..

1) Plug in Bluetooth Card

2) Install the Driver (run setup.exe - don't just add it using activesync.) - make sure it's installed on RAM.

3) Download a REGISTRY EDITOR for PPC

4) Set

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Widcomm\BtConfig\Seria lTransport\Port

make sure it's "7"

5) Soft Reset your PPC and enjoy :)

:D

This also applies to the following cards, and also to any card with the Widcomm driver:
Brandoworkshop - "no name" bluetooth card
www.blue-gene.com c300 bluetooth card.

I was ready to send it back. Too bad - this suggestion is not mentioned anyware in Widcomm site.

Just use the driver you can find on the included CD Rom, or download the driver from www.blue-gene.com. To access the download page, just go here:

http://www.blue-gene.com/bluetooth/software/

Then choose the 300C model.

The card and the drivers are just the same (it seems the only version around) and it works fine after you've tweaked this setting.

I just wonder this is "usual" with Widcomm software, or if it's just a problem with the Axim. I'm Using Bios A02, Italian version.

I'm also having trouble getting my Billionton CFBT02-B to work on my Axim.

I've followed the above instructions - the port was already set to 7 in my case...

It all seems to be installed correctly, but when I click on the button to activate Bluetooth, I get the following message on the Axim:

"The Bluetooth Radio failed to turn ON due to insufficient driver memory available. You must perform a normal reset before you can turn ON the Bluetooth Radio."

I have done a soft reset, but I just get the same message...

Any thoughts?

i have the same problem since 4 months ago, and my card is sitting on my shelf doing nothing...

i have tried everything to make this card work... and no luck... didn't have time to sell it yet... i dont understand why it worked for some member... maybe there was two batch of these card... one batch that worked for the axim and the other batch wouldn't work since there are two different serial number for the same cf card
