Cannot reconnect to my router after jumping on nearby signal.

Ok, first off, thank you all for your wonderful help (this and other forums).

My problem is this:

I am connecting via WiFi perfectly at home and at the office. When I get home and turn on the WiFi, my neighbors connection asks me if I want to connect to his linksys system. I don't need to, as I have my own WLAN (Airlink), but I have hit yes on accident a couple of times which sends the following chain of events into play.

1. I cannot disconnect from his (linksys) and connect back to mine (Airlink).

2. Some features freeze up on my Axim x50(mid) (i.e. Battery pack pro - won't close all apps (red box at top RH corner won't work))

3. To remedy this I have had to restore (via activesync) My ax twice now.

Things I have taken into consideration include: I am not Broadcasting My SSID. I do not have WEP setting enabled. Under WLAN setting it show my network with a BEST signal strength, but refuses to connect. I have been able to disconnect from his liksys a time or two ( by walking to the edge of my property (dropped connection) but when I try to connect to my signal it either stalls out or reconnects to his. I even tried to remove his settings, but they seem to come back.

Please help me if you can, my wifey is getting upset (understandably) that this is consuming my time and I am more than a little frustrated at this point, as you can imagine.

Where should I start, or is there a thread already you can direct me to. Thanks again. You guys are great.

l would start by rebooting your computers and resetting your router by unpluging it for 60 secs.

Try a different wifi scanning tool. Like um.. pocket winc. I like that program. I do notice mine has a similar issue and I usually end up using pocket winc to connect and it can usually work after I power off and on the unit after an attempted connect.

Make make sure "Automatically connect to non-preferred networks" is unchecked on the Setting page. If you have the X50v (I can't tell if it's in your profile as I'm on mobile), try upgrading ROM to A03. Many people have reported improved wifi performance.
