The problem i have is this.

when the axim is in the dock and connected to my pc i can add network disks from my pc to it fine, but as soon as i take it out the dock they no longer function, i cant access them or add any more. the ppc just hangs.

is there something im missing here?

You don't mention if your wireless network is OK otherwise (web and email access), but I'll assume it is. If that is the case, try going into the network settings - Start, Settings, Connections (tab), Connections, Set up my Proxy server. On the Proxy server tab, check the top box (This network connects to the Internet) but leave everything else on this page blank. On the General tab, the name should be "My Work Network." OK and then select the Advanced (tab), Select Networks and select "My Work Network" from both of the pull down lists.

Check the Networking your Pocket PC and Troubleshooting sections of the WiFi Guide for more help.
