Get the Sony-Ericsson T68i from Amazon.com, they do have a very good deal. It's FREE after rebate with a new service activation.

Since I already have a T-Mobile account and an Ericsson T39m (I was told that I have to be 3 months inactive of T-Mobile's service before I can apply to be considered a new service), so I have my wife to get the T68i from Amazon with a new service and cancelled my T-Mobile service.

Now we do have a T39m & T68i, both has a built-in modem, IR & Bluetooth connectivity. I use T-Mobile's CSD & MSN to access the internet on nights & weekends (T-Mobile's free unlimited nights & weekends plan, $39.99). GPRS is way too expensive for me.

Amazon.com has the BEST deals on new cellular phones (with the rebate that you have to wait 8 weeks to get). You do need to commit to a new service plan but if you're like me and have an old plan that you've had for awhile, it's no problem.

From Amazon, I bought the Sony Ericcson t681 with Tmobile service.

I had to send it back!

I had terrible reception problems at my home (where I have a business office). Tmobile customer support (amazingly good, BTW) even sent a service personout to my home to check the signal strength. He sad it was marginal and tried to adjust the local antenna to give me a better signal - no real success.

A different Tmobile customer support person (also good!) privately told me that the T68i wasn't their best phone for reception and recommended the Samsung s105 as the best performer.

I sent the T68i back and bought the Samsung s105 from Amazon (no hassles)(keep all of your packing etc and don't send in your rebate until you love your phone).

The Samsung S105 has much, much better reception. I really like the phone. I have not connected it to my Axim yet but I know Gomadic has a cable for it and I will be trying soon.

The T68i has bluetooth and voice activated dialing (and I really wanted to use both of those features). But I believe the Samsung is a better phone.
