CF WiFi Card MAC Spoofing

I am trying to spoof (change) the MAC on my Linksys Wireless CompactFlash Card Model No. WCF12. I have PHM RegEdit and tried altering the NetworkAddress key in HKLM\Comm\PRIMSNDS1\Parms, but when I sniff traffic coming from my Axim X5 I am still recognizing the true MAC of the CF card. Also, if I goto the Linksys Wireless CF Card Monitor utility it lists the MAC as the true value not the spoofed.

Is there another key I need to alter? Anyone know an easier way (i.e. program) to do this?

I did some googling, but found no concrete solution. I am hoping someone has some direct experience with this particular CF card.

Thanks in advance!

I don't believe you can do it with that card. The registry entry you found is populated from the card, which is why changing it makes no difference.

Hmmm ok makes sense. But why can't it be done with this particular card?

MAC addys are usually hard coded so you cant change it (USUALLY)

There must be a way to do this. I can do it no problem with a PCMCIA card for a laptop; a simple registry change. I have a feeling it is something silly I am overlooking...
