Wireless help needed. My approval of your SKILLZ as a reward.
Yes so, under settings for my WLAN utility, when I go to "My network card connects to:" and set it to "internet", it resets to "Work" after I hit ok. In other words, it wont stay at "connect to internet". Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Maybe a softreset?
Or
(With wifi turned on)Go to the wlan utility, click settings, click and hold on the SSID you want to connect to, general, change "Connects to:" to The internet.
I had the same doubt once, the setting which says "Internet" is used for connecting through a VPN, while the one that says "Work" is actually the one you should use for connecting directly through an AP, I don't remember where was that I read that, I'll take a look to the manual again
Internet @ work. We're on a bluetake network at my job (username and password to logon) so I keep MultiIE on Open (default) to log-in, then switch to Open in new window once I'm on.
Sounds like we use VPN???
I'm truly clueless about Wi-Fi.

Well, the deal is is that i can't active sink wirelessly unless I get that guy set to "internet". For some reason it doesn't work when I'm at home and the setting is on "work". But hey, thanks for the input gang; your all my new best friends.
I'm going to move this to the Wireless Communications forum. You'll get better responses there and if you search around in there with your routers brandname as a keyword... ;)

Who told you that? In fact, while it shouldn't matter which setting you use for the web and email, it is almost always necessary to have it set to Work/My Work Network for wireless sync and access to PC shares.
In any case, the settings Work vs Internet settings sometimes can be changed using the enter key on the onscreen keyboard (instead of the corner X). Other times, it seems that specific routers will cause them to revert to the previous settings. You could try starting fresh by removing your current network settings (you'll probably need to be out of the the router's range or turn it off) and setting them up fresh.

Meet one of the folks who watch the Communication / Talk forums.
I'm moving it now.
