I learned more about my failure to get a dhcp lease at work.
I used ethereal on my wireless laptop to sniff the network traffic while I tried
to connect with my Axim. I saw the Axim send a dhcp request, then I saw the server
send back a DHCP offer. Then I saw the Axim send another request followed by another offer from the server. Lather, rinse, and repeat until the axim gave up.

It seems that the Axim is ignoring the DHCP offers being sent by the server.
But why? Is it holding out for a better offer?

I will be repeating this experiment at home and perhaps at Panera Bread.
(or down the block at my local "linksys" hotspot. (I'm only kidding. please no flames about wardriving))

The post above showing how to manually set the DNS server is exactly what I need to do, according to http://wifi.aximsite.com/trouble.html.

Just one problem: My X50v, running Windows Mobile 2003, doesn't have the "run" option under the Start menu. Is there some secret way to make this option show up in WM2003?

I thought the web browser was the manual. I mean, what's this internet thing for if we can't use it? :rolling:

If it's the post I thing you are referring to, the 'Run' command is on your PC and it's in a DOS window on the PC where you type 'ipconfig/all' (this command will also not work on the PPC).
