Worried Adding Axim to existing wireless network?

I have a wireless network already running. It's all netgear, I am using 64encryption. My laptop works great. I have the Dell TM card. I put it in, set up the wireless profile as 'Home'-Access Point. I did the scan and it found my network name. I enabled data security and entered all 4 keys. Then I open the Dell Client software. It's searching, but never finds my network. What do I do?

Use vxUtil and ping the laptop or the router (If you have one).
vxUtil

Then use Pocket Hosts and you can make a connection to the individual PCs.
Pocket Hosts

Also make sure the IP of the WiFi card is in the network of the your LAN.

Shouldn't it get the ip from the network? Or do I have to provide it. I tried the vxutil, but couldn't ping my laptop or the router.

Can anyone help? I need some step-by-step help I guess, because I haven't been able to figure it out. When I open the 'Dell Client' and go to site monitor, it finds my network. So I hit OK, and it just keeps showing 'Searching'. Thanks guys in advance! I'm sure it's something small I'm missing.

Got it. I was using the wrong MAC address. So now I have a connection, how do I set it up to check email, get on the internet, etc?
