Can not Connect msg

I am new to wifi. I have a wifi setup at home and it works fine with my laptop via wireless. I just upgrade my X50V to the lastest ROM version and now unable to connect to get to the Internet.
I can see that I have established connect with my wireless router (antenna with arrow running back & forth)but when I click on the Internet icon to a site (e.g. PocketPC.com) I got the msg
"Cannot Connect unable to connect. You have no modem entries created, and no network card present".
Please help. Many thanks

Welcome to the site! I recomend checking out Ikehiker's wifi guide. It should help you with setting up your connection.

Thank you. I have read over this before writing the above. Can't find the answer to my issue. Is there a way to reinstall Internet explorer? I do have established connection between my X50V and my wireless router but unable to launch IE successfully.

Hope some expert can help. Many thanks

Is there a way to reinstall new ROM over again?

You don't need to reinstall IE and reinstalling the ROM would make no difference, either. It's likely a change Dell has made in some default setting that had been different in the previous version so. The "Unable to connect with current settings" message is sometimes caused by having "My ISP" or "The Internet" selected instead of Work in connection settings when you are not using a proxy. To correct this:
Select Start, Settings, Connections (tab), Connections, "Set up my proxy server"
Check the top box ("This network connects to the Internet"), but leave everything else on this page blank. OK.
Advanced (tab), Select Networks, Chose "My Work Network" from both drop down lists. OK.
OK your way back to the Today page and soft reset.
