Dell Axim + Bell Canada Cell Phone = Internet access?
Hi Guys/Gals,
I have a Dell Axim, also a qualcomm data ready phone(4 yrs old), and a cable by targus to connect the phone to a cf slot.
My phone has mobile browser capabilities, and i have browsed on occasion. My question is how to get that internet connectivity onto the PDA?
I am in Canada, and use BELL for my Cell phone coverage, which means i cannot use the SprintPCS or Verizon internet numbers like #777 or #3932. Bell support has shed little light on this. Does any body here have any experience with hooking up Canadian Bell Cell phones to other PDAs like palm in the past??? I found a #7873(#SURF) number on one of bells websites, and that number does connect to an internet source, but it only holds connection for about 6 seconds.
I could sign up for sympatico, and get on the net with that as an isp, but i will be looking at long distance charges if i connect outside my home area. i would really like to use this #7873 number, if that is what it is for?
