if i have 2 wifi adapters in my computer can i connect to 2 networks?
the reason i am asking this is because some times my isp will go out and when that happens my neghbor lets me connect ot his wifi network.. the thing is that i also have my p2p network for my axim and i would like to connect to both..
Each network adaptor can connect to one network at one time. So with two network adaptors your can connect to two networks.
An example is a PC with ICS running. You can have one network adaptor talking to the router and a second network adaptor talking to other devices. You need to ensure that different IP address ranges are used on each side.
The PPC has one network adaptor and I don't think you'd have much success with installing an additional one. So it can only connect to one at a time.

So Howard, if your PC is connected to two networks, and both have Internet access, then which network would you be accessing it from if you're going to surf/IM, etc.?
I think with Microsoft OSs it will use the most recently connected route, if there is more than one equal cost route - but it's been a while... It could be the other way around.

from my experince with the inspiron serires they tend to liek to go with the first one connected to find this out i did... ctrl+alt+delt>network tab> listed networks and useige scale..
One would ALWAYS connect first though :) They'll never both become active at exactly the same time.
Well - there are situations that could make that happen, but in reality it's incredibly unlikely. It won't do equal-cost load balancing, unless it's a recent addition. Which I doubt :)
