Question WIFI Completely Disabled

I think I need some help here.

I purchased an Axim X50V (WM2003SE) recently and after some initial wrangling with my router's transmission mode was able to connect with WIFI.

However, for the past few days I have not been able to use WIFI. My "connections" settings are the same as before, set to "Work", and everything else is configured the same. Enabling the built-in network adapter simply does not work. The blinking green light does not turn on at all.

Is this just a simple setting that I have somehow missed or is something else going on? I did a hard reset and the wireless connection worked fine so I know its a software issue. Is there anyway to preserve my current configuration and regain the use of my WIFI card without having to start from scratch?

Try pressing the wireless button on the left of the Axim, you should get a message to press again within 5-seconds to turn on wireless. This works as a master wireless switch.

Yes, I have pressed this button (twice) many times, and watched the corresponding "Enabling Wireless" progress bar. It has no effect.

I know the hardware itself works, but somehow it seems to have been disabled permanently as far as the OS is concerned.

All right, I soft-resetted several more times and suddenly it is working again. I'm not exactly sure why this happened, but hopefully it won't happen again.

Thanks for the help.

I have seen this too but it is pretty rare on mine. Just know that when you see things that don't work the way they did before, do a soft reset or two and usually they will clear up. Sort of the same idea as your IT person asking you before anything else " did you reboot your computer and try it again?"
