Hi,
I have a Dell X50 520MHz. The problem is that my microphone for my Dell X50 does not work. Wondering if it is a reason why I can not connect to networks?

I have trouble connecting to networks, it always says that there is no signal stength even though that the network has been found in WLAN. My friend has the exact same PDA and he is able to connect to the same network that I found.

Is it possible that broken Microphone affects my Antenna where the Wifi is?

I am not using powersaver mode for the Wifi.
Any suggestions? Where is the Wifi Antenna located?

i dont know if this holds true with the standard x50, but i know the x50v antenna is part of, or the metal surrounding the sd/cf card slot. hope this helps..

Do you know why your mic doesn't work? If you dropped it, perhaps the wifi hardware was damaged as well.

Maybe you should get a replacement from Dell if it's still under warrenty.

I've heard that some metal cases can muffle the internal antenna as well. Is there any truth in that?
