Does anyone leave the wifi on their Axims switched on while the pda sits in its cradle? I tend to switch my wifi on and off when I want it.

Leaving the wifi on would mean that I could just pick up my Axim and surf etc - much quicker than booting up my laptop!

I sometimes leave it on when I'm doing some testing (e.g., trying some streaming radio sites) but am working at my desktop. As you said, it makes connecting faster when you just pick it up and walk around. :)

So it is possible, is it Gigi? I mean, leaving wifi on will not affect the charging rate of the battery, will it?

Boy, do I love the convenience of this thing!

Well I'm guessing it would charge slower... but as long as you have enough time then you should be ok

I don't think so...since my power button light can still remain green even when wifi is on.

That would seem to indicate that it charges faster than the wifi consumes power, Gigi - I think I'm going to just leave it on and only turn wifi off when I'm out and about.
