Programs Icons Launcher & other PPC questions

Hi,
Relatively new to the PPC - switching from Palm;

THis might be a silly question - whenever I install a program/application via ActiveSync, they all show up under programs! I would like to organize them in categories - eg. just as the GAMES folder - all games automatically install there! What is the easiest way to do this - creating folder A - and putting here all pertinent programs, Folder B and so on...
however, if I have to do a Soft Reset, I don't want to lose all this ans have to try again!
perhaps there is an application that already accomplishes this?

I am installing most programs to SD card; some critical ones to BUILT-IN STORAGE!

Also, what is the best way to automatically rotate your TODAY's THEMES?

Finally, should I stick to the PPC calendar/contacts or switch to Agenda Fusion or Pocket Informant?

Sorry - lots of questions - thanks in advance,

CP

If you go to Windows/Start Menu/Programs, you can create new folders in there (just like the Games folder), and cut and paste the files into these folders as you see fit.

A small correction to this: Do not move the files , just the shortcuts from the Windows/Start Menu/Programs directory

CP
pocket informant is much more complete solution but I prefer SBSH PocketBreeze

No dumb at all! When i swithched from PalmOS you wouldn't imagin what sorts of Q's I've asked!
BOT: All programs installed through the active sync leave shortcuts at Windows/Start Menu/Programs directory. Open the Windows/Start Menu directory using built-in File Explorer (Most of us use Resco File Explorer, though) > tap Edit>Create New Folder > now go to the Windows/Start Menu/Programs dir and tap-and-hold the icon you want to move > select Cut , > Paste this to a newly created directory

BTW the reason many use Resco File Explorer is for the mulitpule select option and drug'n'drop , plus other usefull functions

Yes. Or you can use Total Commander (from C. Ghisler), a very capable program which is free, with versions available for both your PC and your PPC.

office icons don't move

Are there only certain program icons that can be pasted into a folder? When I try to move the office ones (Excel, Word, etc...), it says that I can't do it because i don't have permission or something.

Thanks
